Should China increase or decrease foreign aid spending?
China has sharply increased its foreign aid spending over the last decade. It’s official aid approach imposes few conditions on the countries who receive it. This has stimulated considerable interest and debate both inside and outside the country. In 2013, China pledged $189.3 billion to foreign aid. Africa received 45% of the aid, the most of any continent.
